Sunday 3rd December
TSDL Division 2 League Wilderness Rovers 2-0 Peak Villa B
The Villa Junior B squad travelled to Clonmel with a large squad to face the undefeated home side this morning looking to continue good league form. Villa started the game well and were matching their more physical opponents in most areas and went close with a couple of efforts from Eoin Dwyer and Darragh Byrne early on. As the game progressed the hosts began to use their height and physical strength to good use on a pitch which began to cut up badly as game went on preventing any football from been played. After a couple of corners, the hosts took the lead following a couple of deflections the balk ended up in the net. Halftime 1-0 to Wilderness.
Villa began the 2nd half much stronger and with lots more possession but were unable to create any clear-cut chances and as Villa pushed for the equaliser, the home team doubled their lead on a counter attack. Despite lots of possession Villa were unable to break down the home team defence and the home team saw out the remainder of the game.
A disappointing result but the lads all gave 100% on the day and we move on to next week’s game. Best performances on the day were Shane McGuire in the goal, Darragh Byrne and Darren Connor.
TSSDL u14 Girls Premier u14 Girls Peake Villa 1-6 Cashel Town A
Scorer: Vera Ryan
Villa going into this game were short a few of their stronger players and were one behind after 5 minutes and 2 after 10 minutes. Villa fought gallantly to pull one back from great play by Marion Condon to get Vera Ryan in to score.
Cashel scored four more in the second half, but Peake Villa were unlucky not to put away a few chances they created themselves. Cashel were the deserved winners.

TSDL Youth Division 1 League Youths win 3-2 away to Clonmel Celtic
Scorers: Ronan McGuire (1) Jack Ryan Casey (1) Ben Slattery (1)
Villa made the trip to Clonmel today, in a must win game and started brightly. The front three linked up well and then on 10 minutes made the break through when a brilliant free kick by Frank McKevitt found Ronan McGuire at the back post, who nodded past the Celtic keeper to give Villa the lead. Then on the half hour mark Villa conceded a penalty, which was extremely harsh. From the spot kick Eoghan Tinkler produced yet another spectacular penalty save only for Celtic to knock in the rebound, 1-1. Villa responded tremendously and 5 minutes later regained the lead when Jack Ryan Casey found space from a corner to power home a header, 2-1 Villa. Then minutes later Villa were reduced to 10 men when Killian Ryan received a second yellow, which also looked to be very harsh. Villa were now under pressure and just before half time Celtic made it all square, when a free kick wasn't cleared and was scrambled home from close range. Halftime 2-2.
The second half saw a more open game with chances at both ends of the pitch, the best of which falling to Villa. With 20 minutes left on the clock, from another corner which wasn't cleared properly, saw sub Ben Slattery drive home a half volley, to give Villa the lead. The last 20 minutes was very lively, but the boys saw the game out professionally.
Fulltime Clonmel Celtic 2-3 Peake Villa.
Man of the match for Villa was Eoghan Tinkler, not just for the great penalty save but for the numerous other great saves and his overall tower of strength performance once again. A great team performance by all the squad, especially in the 2nd half when playing with only 10 men.
TSSDL u15 Premier League u15A win 3-0 away to Bansha Celtic
Scorers: Callum Blakeborough (1) Cathal mcElgun (1) Liam McCormack (1)
Villa travelled to Bansha and on a poor field both teams were under pressure, but it was Bansha who had the best chance of the first half when an over the top ball put the Bansha forward 1v1 with Lorcan Cummins who pulled off a great save. HT: 0-0
Second half Villa started to put on the pressure and missed a few chances from some great headers. Callum Blakeborough set off on a great run and netted the first of the game. Shortly after Lorcan had to make another 1v1 save and 5 min later it was the same, three 1v1 saves for Lorcan today to keep Villa in the game. Villa were the fitter team and it showed in the last 15 minutes when they pushed for a second and it came from Cathal McElgun. A few minutes later Liam McCormack scored the third with a powerful shot. This was a great effort from the boys, 3 wins from 3 in the league.
TSSDL u15 Championship League u15B drew 1-1 away to Moyglass United A
U15B Moyglass United 1-1 Peake Villa
Scorer: Nathan Cornally
Villa travelled to Moyglass with both sides desperate for a win. Villa started brightly, pressing Moyglass from the front and created a number of chances in the opening 25 minutes. Enthusiastic running by both Calum Cleary and Corey Moore had Moyglass pegged back for long periods but Villa, just could not find the breakthrough.
The second half again started brightly for Villa and it wasn't long before Nathan Cornally opened the scoring after a great run and a pass from Oskar. From then on Villa worked tirelessly with Moyglass searching for the equaliser. Ronan Loughnane in front of a superb back four dealt assuredly with sustained pressure but with 10 minutes to go Moyglass were awarded a penalty. Corey O'Brien, who had made some great saves, on the day did not have to make the save as the spot kick cannoned the post and was cleared. A win looked assured but with minutes left Moyglass launched a final attack and fortuitously gained possession on the outskirts of the box and struck an equaliser.
A great effort by all players involved, deserving of more but to no avail, the game ended with both sides sharing the spoils.

Darragh Walker scored each side of the break which was followed by Zane Shaughnessy and Sam Cooney getting in on the act. There was still time for Adam Jones to finish off our scoring to make it 0-8.
