Boys u13 Peake Villa 1 - 1 Clerihan

The 13’s finished off their league campaign with a draw at home to Clerihan. Both Teams had chances in the 1st half but the score at the break was 0-0. Clerihan started the brightest in the 2nd half and took the lead after 5 minutes. This seemed to spark the boys into life and they were rewarded with 6 minutes left when a great cross from Kieran Costello was met at the far post by the in rushing Jack Kelly who met it on the volley to score.

Sunday 16th March

Junior A Peake Villa 5 - 0 Cahir Park

This was a must win game for Villa in their fight for survival and started well scoring after 2 minutes with a fine srtrike from Jamie Morrissey, they went 2-0 up in the 5th minute when Pippy Carroll scored. They sealed the win in the 15th minute when Mick Ryan was brought down in the box and Carroll scored his 2nd to make it 3-0.
Cahir tried to get into the game early in the 2nd half but it was Villa who scored twice to seal the victory with the 2 goals coming from Jamie Morrissey who got a hatrick. Villa finally took the chances they were getting all season and ease the treat of relegation but with 2 games left there is still work to be done. The last word goes to Jody Mahoney who gave an outstanding performance.

Junior B Cullen Lattin 2 - 2 Peake Villa

Villa’s 2nd team finished off their season with a draw. The Boys had a good campaign and were unlucky in a few games which has seen them fall short for one of the promotion spots. Calum Breen and Tomasz Rykala were the scorers on the day.
