Our Junior A's were on the road Sunday afternoon away to Cahir. The conditions for the game were excellent with Cahir's pitch in fantastic condition. Villa took the lead in the 8th minute when Darragh Byrne crossed a great ball which was met by the head of Ronan McGuire who made no mistake. Villa were unlucky not to go 2 up in the 10th minute when Pippy Carroll unleashed a great strike, but his shot hit the crossbar. Cahir got back level when they broke well down the left and Alan O Donnell was on hand to score for the home team. In the 20th minute Villa had a great chance to make it 2-1 when Pippy Carroll got through on goal, but his shot went over the bar. Mick Ryan had to go off injured in the 22nd minute when he got concussed clearing a ball and Tommy Teer came on for him. Villa were pressing hard in the latter part of the half and Carroll got his rewards with a nice finish to the bottom corner. He only had to wait 3 minutes for his 2nd scoring from header from a Darragh Byrne corner. 1-3. On the stroke of half time Villa went 4-1 up when Keith Cahill scored from a tight angle. It was all Villa in the 2nd half. Cahill played Mikey Wade in from a short corner and his strike from outside the box was excellently saved by the Cahir keeper who got fingers to the ball to push it onto the crossbar and over. A minute later Pippy Carroll hit the upright from a great strike. Tommy Teer made a great run from halfway in the 63rd minute passing a number of defenders, but his shot went just wide. TSDL Division 1 League - Peake Villa Junior B 0-5 Cashel Town A
Villa entertained the league leaders with a depleted squad for various reasons and were on back foot from the start. Cashel were 2-0 up from 2 excellent crosses to the Villa box and were 3-0 up at half time to reward their dominance despite Villa going close to scoring through Robert Jordan and Kevin Croke. In the second half the visitors dominated again and scored twice to compound a dominant display and run out 5-0 winners despite the best efforts from Peake Villa's Kevin Croke, Roberto Jordan and Stevie Fewer.

TSDL Tipperary Youth Cup - 1st Round - Shanbally United 2-1 Peake Villa Youths
Scorer: Jack Kelly (1)
Our Youths found themselves a goal behind when the home side were awarded a penalty in the 1st minute. They went 2-0 down mid-way through the half when a defensive error was well finished by the Shanbally striker. Half Time 2-0.
This young Villa side were far from out of this game and started the 2nd half well and had most of the play. The were awarded a penalty in the 50th minute when the Shanbally defender blocked the ball on the line with his hand. To everybody's amazement he only received a yellow for denying an obvious goal scoring opportunity. Jack Kelly scored from the penalty spot to make it 2-1. The game finished 2-1. Our boys can feel very hard done by, in what went on in the second half.
