TSDL Tipperary Cup Semi-Final - St. Michael's A 1-3 Peake Villa Junior A

Scorers: Keith Cahill (1), Eoin O'Dwyer (1) Frank McKevitt (1)

VILLA INVOLVED IN A THRILLER AS THEY HIT MICHAEL'S FOR 3 LATE ON.

Peake Villa booked their place in the Tipperary Cup Final Sunday evening after a hard fought win in Cooke Park, Tipperary Town. It was a quick start from both teams with some good passing play. Villa had some good chances in the first half with captain Pippy Carroll coming close and Ronan McGuire with a good effort that was saved by the Michael's keeper. It was the home side that took the lead in the 44th minute when Joe Mulcahy scored. 1-0 Half Time.

The second half it was Villa on the front foot playing some great passing football as the home side were happy to sit and hold on to their lead. The game changed In the 86th minute when Villa were awarded a free kick and from the tightest angles Keith Cahill whipped the ball to the far corner, his shot deceiving the keeper and in it went to make it 1-1. It looked like the game was going to extra time but in the 91st minute Villa were awarded a corner and Eoin O Dwyer was on hand to head it home to make it 2-1 Villa. Michael's pushed for an equaliser but in the 96th minute Pippy Carroll received the ball in midfield and played a lovely through ball to Frank McKevitt who made no mistake to make it 3-1. A fantastic end to the game for the visitors, who to a man left it all on the pitch and were deserved of the win.
They now play Cahir Park next Sunday in the final.
