Saturday 6th September
u16 Boys at home Peake Villa 3 - 2 Clerihan
A great start for our 16’s who are under new management and have put in a good pre season. The boys went 1 down after 4 minutes but got into the game after this and went into the break at half time 2-1 up with goals from Jack Hackett and Ronan McGuire. They got their 3rd with 10 minutes to go with good play from Hackett and Kevin Bracken who found Frank McKevitt who slotted the ball home. Clerihan scored through the penalty spot with a minute go to make it 3-2 to the home side.
u14 Boys at home to St. Kevin's (Called Off)
u12A Boys at home Peake Villa 4 - 2 St. Michael's
A good start for the 12’s with the big move to the grass with a fine team performance. Scorers for Villa were Darragh Stakelum 2 Daniel Ruddy and Conor Ruddy.
u12B Boys away to Cashel Town 1 - 1 Peake Villa
Both teams played a closely competitive match on a warm day in Cashel. Villa started well but Cashel took the lead with a penalty 5 minutes before half time. Villa’s keeper Luke Ahearne denied Cashel with great saves in the second half in which Peake Villa then took control of the match and that led to Denis Shanahan equalising for Peake Villa with a cooly placed one on one with 10 min left. This was a hard working team performance and a well earned point for Peake Villa.
