Fai Junior Cup Wilderness Rovers 3 - 4 Peake Villa (A)
Villa booked there place into the 4th round with a good but hard fought win away to Widerness. Villa started brightest and should have been a few goals up early on but found themselves 1-0 down after 5 minutes. They drew level in the 10th minute when Pippy Carroll scored from the penalty spot. They went ahead in the 25th minute when some good play found John McLoughlin who scored.
The 2nd half saw Villa on the back foot a little with wilderness taking the game to them but with Sean Wade having a fine game for Villa at centre half they found it difficult to score. Villa hit them on the counter attack and Dale Loughnane put them 3-1 up in the 70th minute. Wilderness scored in the 75th to make it 3-2 but Villa didn’t panic and sealed the tie in the 80th minute when Daman Walcyak scored. Munster Youths Cup Clonmel Town 1 - 1 Peake Villa - Clonmel win 4-2 on penalties after extra time.
This was a clash of the big 2 in the Youths and there was nothing between them throughout the game. Jack Cleary scored in the 10th minute to give Villa the lead which they held until the 88th minute of the match. It would be fair to say that some decisions did not go there way on the day and it cost them in the end. They also hit the upright on 2 occasions in extra time. They 2 sides meet in the league next week which should make for a good game.
U16 National Cup Peake Villa 2 - 3 Cahir Park
Villa started well and had a few decent chances in the first 30 minutes but didn’t take them. However they took the lead in the 31st minute when Cahir did not clear their lines and some good work from Jack Hackett found one of 3 of our spanish players Benat Arizabalaga who put Villa ahead. Villa only held the lead for 2 minutes tho and conceded after a long injury delay caught the Villa defence asleep to make it 1-1 at the break.
Villa we’re awarded a penalty in the 15th minute of the 2nd half but it was well saved by the Cahir goal keeper. After the penalty miss Cahir grew in confidence and went ahead after 20 minutes and they added another shortly after to make it 3-1. With time running out Villa made changes and Christian Cleary came off the bench to pull one back for Villa. They pressed late on but could not get an equaliser. Best of luck to Cahir in the next round.
U14 National Cup Thomastown 2 - 0 Peake Villa
Villa started well and had the better of this game in the first 15 minutes but could not put their chances away. They were made to pay 10 minutes to the half when Thomastown went ahead. Thomastown went 2-0 up 5 minutes into the 2nd half and after this it was all Villa again but they could not make the pressure count missing some good chances before the end. Best of luck to Thomastown in the next round.
U16 Girls League Cashel Town 0 - 0 Peake Villa
This was a very tight game with both defences playing very well. The first chance of the game came half way through the first half with Saoirse o Meara shooting just wide when put through by Lauren Mc Cormack. Cashel’s first chance came from a free kick which Saoirse Teer saved. Niamh Kennedy had a shot from outside the box which went narrowly wide. The second half Cashel stepped up the pace and could have taken the lead only to be denied on several occasions from the inform villa keeper Saoirse Teer. Niamh Kennedy who was having a great game in the middle of the field had a shot well saved by the Cashel Goalie. It ended 0-0 but it was highly entertaining. Niam Kennedy was Villa’s best player and was excellent in midfield.
U12 Girls League Peake Villa 0 - 6 St. Kevin's
Our U12’s are all relatively new and this showed with the concession of 6 goals but they are a great bunch of girls who are willing to learn and will no doubt improve throughout the season.
U11 Boys

Bansha scored again at the beginning of the second half to go 3-1 up, but Villa got back on level terms with goals from Siya Ndzingani and Dean Mulcaire. Villa enjoyed great possession in the latter part of the game, but were unable to convert any of the chances that they created. Bansha scored the winner with a few minutes to go, to leave the score Bansha 4 Peake Villa B 3. A good performance by all players involved.
U10 Boys
Just one team in action away to Bansha where Jake Jordan and Ethan Whitehead were on target for Villa.
